Peri-Oral Rejuvenation
Lips and the perioral area are of importance in youthful appearance, attractiveness, and beauty. In contrast to younger and middle aged females, there is only minimal published data on minimally invasive procedures to restore and revitalize lips and perioral soft tissue in elderly females. Loss of volume and elasticity of subcutaneous soft tissue, retraction of lip red, bone resorption, loss of teeth, smoking, and ultraviolet exposure contribute to perioral aging and loss of attractiveness.
