Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure that restores the shape and appearance of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can involve implants, using silicone or saline, or autologous tissue reconstruction, where tissue from another part of the body is used. The goal is to create a breast that looks natural and symmetrical, often in multiple stages. This procedure helps many patients regain confidence and feel whole after breast cancer treatment. It can be done immediately following a mastectomy or delayed until later, depending on the patient's circumstances and treatment plan.
