Challenges in Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a surgery to enhance the contour and configuration of the eyelids in order to regain a more youthful appearance. This surgery requires removing of redundant skin, fat, and muscle. The primary issue in this is removal of too much upper eyelid skin, which results in difficulty of closing the eye. This in turn might cause chronic dry eye issues and leads to a risk of injury to the cornea.
